STIHL MS500i Model Plate # 1147 967 1500
If your MS500i STIHL is missing one of these or if the letters and numbers have all worn off, then this could be what you're needing.
Sure does not make the saw run better, but it just preserves the look of the saw and for sure it is helpful to know what model you have!
These Model Plates have 4 small protrusions (posts) on the rear and you are best to put a little light grease on the holes on the Starter Housing to facilitate fitment. I usually get a small block of wood or some nylon to protect the model plate and then tap the posts in with a hammer one by one.
