Here we have something some of you have been requesting...
Genuine STIHL Piston Clips (Circlips) for the 8mm pinned pistons, which is a lot or most of the TS and FS models.
This is a part you need to have right and they are often damaged when removing them. The other things is they can wear too from the pin spinning after years of operation. I have seen it all over the years.
Obviously this is a critical part and if in doubt then change them out.
These clips being German manufactured are the highest quality so you would be prudent to use them if you are using after market pistons too, as with many of those the clips can be a weak point that can prematurely fail due to they use of poor quality materials.
Fitting Tip: Position the gap towards the top of the piston
