STIHL Genuine Grey 070 090 070AV 090AV Crankcase Insulating Rod #1106 029 8901

Here we have a part many of you will need.
The STIHL Genuine White (Later Style) 070, 090, 070AV, 090AV 090G Crankcase Insulating Rod.
This part will deteriorate over the years (they get hard) so if you are rebuilding an old saw then for sure it's a good move to change this rod out.
It's best fitted starting from the clutch side of centre and start fitting it as you are putting your cases together, otherwise there is a protrusion in the casting that makes it hard to fit once the cases are fully together.
It's best poked into the gap with a blunt tool like an old screwdriver and just leave it a little proud of the fuel tank level.
