Here we have a STIHL Special Service Tool, for the fitment of the Chain Brake Actuator Spring, and without this tool this is not easy job, believe me!
I used to work on saws and fit these Chain Brake Spring without this tool and it was very time consuming and also the risk of hurting your hand or your fingers was very high, so what I am saying is if you're working on saws, buy this tool, it will help you no end and it's much safer to own one than to hurt yourself.
This tool is passed through the end of the Chain Brake actuator spring and then you push it over the spring post, once that is done you use the tool as a lever to strech the spring until it slides down over the post and then you rotate the tool to remove it. If in doubt check out the workshop manuals and you will see good diagrams of it being used there.
This tool will work on just about every STIHL saw I have worked on, so it will really help you if you're into your saws.
