Here we have a STIHL 1106 Series Oil Tank Pick Up Screen (Filter)
This one pushes into the oil pick up line that is attached to the bottom of the oil pump and of course this screens out any debris, wood chips etc, that could block up your oil pump.This one fits the 070, 070AV, 090, 090AV, 090G and the CONTRA / LIGHTNING saws as well.
The 1106 Model of oil pump has one of the best designed oil pumps ever made period, tough as but i have seen them barely working due to damaged and blocked screens, so if in doubt best to change it out.
