Here we have a unique new product, the "Shark Fin" Style Falling / Dog Spikes for the 1124 Series of saws, namely the 084, 088, MS880 and the MS881 chainsaw models. 
In my humble opinon if you're predominately falling or crosscutting then these are the ultimate choice ,no doubt about it!  You only need an understanding of  how dogs affect the cut and flow of the movement of the saw to get that.
