Genuine STIHL small rubber AV buffer that is used on all of the 1122 series saws, the 064, 066, and MS660 models.
It is integral in that is dampens lateral load between the crankcase and the fuel tank assembly. Often missing on older saw where is has rattled off, or it has been removed and not replaced when the saw was repaired. Alternatively over the years the rubber can become hard and the dampening action is therefore reduced...
This Buffer is item no 29 in the last picture
The screw (item 30) that fastens the buffer on is the small style headed M4 x 12mm Torx, is also listed on my site.
OBM recommends using some thread locker (Loctite) on the screw.
