Carlton / STIHL 20" x .058 Hard Nose Medium Mount Bar and 2 Chain Combo wow!

SKU: CARLTON HN20+2 x 35RS72+3/8x7T Rim,
$160.00Price

Here we have something very special and unique for those of you that can think outside the box. A German Manfufactued (thing Krupp Steel!)  Hi End Hard nosed bar but unlike the majority which are in .063, this one is in .058. If your not a sheep and are happy to think outside of the box then. you will get this.

Here is the thing, in an .058 bar you can wear out 6, 8 or 10 chains and as the bar gets slowly worn keep checking if an .063 chain will fit in the slightly worn groove, when it does then you can dress the bar and you will have a super snug chain again, giving your bar new life!... Think two for one!. There is a bit more to it that that but you get the general picture now.

Complimenting this Combination deal is 2 x 35RS72 Genuine STIHL chains which are Swiss made and a 3/8 x 7T rim sprocket too.

These 2 chains and rim sprocket have a value in excess of $100!

so this Combination Deal really represents the best value you will find out there.

Yeh we like to look after our customers...

I can honestly say that they will never make this quality again... those days are gone sadly.  :(

This Chainsaw Bar in 20 inch x .058 in the medium mount configuration fits the medium range of saws from the 024, 038, 044, 064, 066, 660, 661 styles plus many more (see below for the full list).

These 20 inch bars are really an optimum length for firewood cutting for small to medium sized timber... up to 36 inch or 3 foot diameter.

Hard Nosed bars are just so durable,  (check the thickness of the Stellite on the tip!) simple in that they have no moving parts,  on top pf that they are super strong and long lasting too.
My old mate and mentor George "Nuggett" Giblett (Farmer, Soldier, Bushman, Legend) put me onto using Hard Nosed Bars many years ago now and he was dead right, George is gone but the truth remains they are fantastic.

Some people (with limited experience) carry on about friction in the tip and loss of power though that is so not true, You have to understand that Stellite is added to the bar tip and that stuff is so damn hard, if you have normal oil flow the chain will just wizz/ glide around there with  NO friction at all! (hydrostatic shim)... think ice skaters on an ice rink spinning about, no friction to talk about there right... same thing here.

The one thing is though is that you need to be a little bit more switched on with the chain tension as it needs to be just right so that when the chain gets to operating temperature (warm) that its not loose and hanging, so to acheive that it takes a bit of experience to know what is just right when the chain is cold, without going on too much you need to run your chain a tad looser cold (about 10%) than on sprocket tipped bars.

Anyways that is how i see these bars... Extremely Durable and top value for sure!

If you got this far, thanks for reading this... i could tell you more but its enough to help you i hope.
